Amazon to create over 100 technology jobs in Dublin

Strategic IDA client company further adds to Ireland’s reputation as Internet Capital of Europe

Dublin, Monday 28th May 2012 -  Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, today welcomed the announcement by Amazon that it is to create over 100 new technology jobs at its Development Centre in Kilmainham, Dublin. The centre is home to a team of engineers and developers which supports the design and deployment of Amazon websites. The centre also hosts an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Developer Support team which provides technical assistance for customers using applications like Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon CloudFront. The expansion is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland
