Through the Aviation Finance Finuas Network we are delighted to announce our upcoming Job Seeker Support Programme – this programme will be 100% funded through the Network and is open to current jobseekers.

The objectives of the programme are to train a number of unemployed professionals in gaining skills and knowledge for entry into the Aviation Finance and Leasing Sector. The core element of the programme will be a 3 day introduction to the Aviation Finance and Leasing industry and to gain specific knowledge and skills in Aviation Finance. In conjunction with this, we propose running 9 additional days of training in Career Coaching, Marketing, Finance, Project Management, Negotiation Skills & IT Training which will give participants a good knowledge and competence in other areas to support them in moving into the different functions within the sector.

The full training programme will take place at the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick.

The programme is an 11 day training programme which will run  from Friday 31st August to Friday 7th September, 2012 and also will include up to 3 days project work – 14 Day up-skilling programme  - Work placements are being sought for after the training element finishes in companies within the sector in Dublin and Shannon.

The criteria to be eligible to apply for this programme are as follows:

  • In current receipt of Job seekers allowance or benefit
  • A recent Graduate in Business, HR,. Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Marketing, Law, Accounting,
  • An unemployed professional with a number of years’ experience in Accountancy, Law, Finance, Business, HR, Marketing
