Hello Grainne – When we hire Production Operators there is a requirement to do an Interim Performance Appraisal after 3 months and a Probationary Performance Appraisal after 6months – both of which are signed by the Trainer, Supervisor and Operator.
These Interim and Probationary Performance Appraisals covers areas such as:-
- Quality of Work
- Quantity of Work
- Level of Supervision
- Co-operation etc
We do not carry out Annual Performance Appraisals with our Production Operators as their performance is monitored daily / weekly in our processes.

Hi Grainne, We have a performance management system in place at operator level. The reviews are done on an annual basis on the anniversary of an employee’s start date. The review covers areas such as Quality; Job Knowledge; Productivity; Pro-activity; Communication; Attainment of Targets, Teamwork; Attendance.
We are looking at reviewing our Performance Management System later this year so any information that you could share would be appreciated.
