This course is an ideal introduction to the fundamental aspects of Aviation for those who have an interest in further aviation training, or as professional development for those already working within the industry without formal aviation training.
The course will be delivered over 10 weeks, one evening per week; classes are of 4 hr duration and includes a visit to a MRO Maintenance Repair and Overhaul facility. Instructors are experienced industry professionals working with local and international airlines, aviation authorities and MROs. The course is validated by the LIT Department of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering (FETAC Level 6) in partnership with LIT
On successful completion of this programme, the student will have an appreciation of the vital elements of Aeronautics.
They will be capable of explaining the physical laws that govern flight, some of the engineering utilised to achieve it, and the practical application of how aircraft are flown, controlled and separated.
