Programme Objectives

The purpose of this programme is to develop the capability of participants ensuring they confidently execute their roles and deliver on the requirements of their business.  Through the process of self awareness and the development of core skills participants will demonstrate value to their existing organisation or future organisation.

 

As a result of this 3 day programme participants will:

-        Define key goals for themselves with specific action plans to progress their goals from aspirations to achievable targets

-        Develop effective organisational skills to deliver on business requirements while managing stress levels

-        Use communication skills to influence others and project a positive image of themselves as they work and relate to others

Increase their self confidence and belief in their ability to be an effective employee

Target Audience

Individual contributors looking to go to the next level of performance.  Individuals who are having difficulty in implementing successful change to his/her current ways of thinking and acting.  Those looking for new ways to tap into his/her potential.

 

Programme Content

Workshop 1:  Taking ChargeThis workshop will look at actions you can take to drive your career forward, to take responsibility for setting your future and working towards achieving that future.  Learn to live with change and utilise it not resist it.  Increase your self-awareness so you identify strengths to maximise and the blind spots that can get in your way.

As a result of the Taking Charge workshop you will:

  • Define goals for yourself so that you have a clear sense of direction and purpose
  • Recognise how you are your own critic and how this can hold you back from achieving what you are capable of or what you want to achieve
  • Determine ways to become your own coach so you achieve the goals you have defined for yourself
  • Understand that how you respond is far more important than what happens to you.  Learn to greatly improve your response
  • Recognise what motivates you and the blind spots that limits personal effectiveness

Workshop 2:   Delivering Effective Personal Performance

Delivering effective performance greatly depends on your ability to manage time and in your ability to contribute as a valued team player.  This workshop will look at these key areas.

As a result of the Delivering Effective Personal Performance workshop you will:

  •  Elimination of the “urgency addiction”
  • Application of Stephen Covey’s 4 Quadrants to prioritise work commitments
  • Increased confidence in ability to manage workload
  • Learn how to develop the habits that will generate improved behaviours and performance

Workshop 3:  Projecting Yourself Positively

Communication is a critical skill that, when applied successfully, helps develop effective relationships.  This workshop will address the key issue of communication and developing actions to progress learning from the programme.

As a result of the Projecting Yourself Positively workshop you will:

  • Take control of how you communicate and identify how to convey your message to others for increased understanding and success
  • Recognise that you cannot not communicate; take ownership of your actions
  • Develop actions that you commit to starting, stopping and continuing to improve your effectiveness

Tricia’s expertise lies in the development and customisation of training development programmes within the SME and multi-national sectors.  She has a successful track record assisting leaders and managers in understanding themselves, their strengths and how to maximise their impact on their organisation. Tricia also works with individuals on a one-to-one basis providing coaching support to address identified business performance issues.

Tricia Cunningham

Having spent an extensive period of time as a training and development professional in the United States, where she earned a Masters of Science in Training and Development (Lesley College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1998) Tricia returned to Ireland and joined Nortel Networks where she was appointed Training & Development Manager before co-founding LEAP in 2000 and today remains a director of the company.

With LEAP clients Tricia’s work has significantly improved management team and business performance.  She has developed a mentoring programme for Emerging Managers and has helped individuals to maximise their role as leader.
