Engineering Manager at Jaguar Land Rover in the Ireland Software Development Center which will grow to approx 150 highly skilled jobs delivering into programs for Vehicle Architecture and Autonomous Driving.
Formerly EMEA customer engineering manager in Intel Transportation Solutions Division with over 10yrs of automotive experience working with worldwide OEM’s and T1 suppliers and 20+ years of customer support in communications, servers and automotive markets.
David Ward, Aviation Training Business Development Specialist, Lufthansa Technik Shannon
Currently manage Key Accounts and Project Manager for Lufthansa Technik – Aircraft Maintenance Technician Training Courses. Responsible for the Training Business Development and Marketing within the Lufthansa Technik Shannon Training School. Lufthansa Technik Shannon Course Director for our joint UL/Lufthansa Technik Shannon BSc in Aircraft Maintenance & Airworthiness Engineering.
Stephen Linnane, HR Manager Element Six
Since joining Element Six Stephen has worked in a number of Mechanical Engineering, Product Management and Operations Management Roles across various businesses and is currently HR manager for the Shannon Site. Stephen has Mechanical Engineering Degree and MBA from the University of Limerick.
Noel Gavin, Senior Vice President Global head, CIS Learning, Northern Trust-Ireland
Based in Northern Trust’s Limerick office, Noel leads Corporate & Institutional Learning, with responsibility for delivering learning and development programs for over 9000 employees across all our locations. He joined Northern Trust in 2006 and prior to joining C&IS Learning, Noel worked within Global Fund Services – Fund Accounting. Before joining Northern Trust he worked in IFS (State Street). His experience includes project management, operations management and leadership roles
Paul is the Chief Executive of Skillnet Ireland, the national agency responsible for the promotion and facilitation of workforce learning in Ireland. Skillnet Ireland supports over 50 industry representative groups, assisting 15,000 companies and 50,000 trainees each year. Skillnet Ireland operates under a joint investment mandate, where State grants are combined with investments by participating businesses in the 60+ Skillnet learning networks nationally. This enterprise-led approach has received international recognition as a model of best practice from the OECD and ILO, amongst others.
Paul has operated at a senior level in commercial environments for over 20 years, including 15 years executive management experience in Human Resource Development. His broad expertise include; Education and Labour Market Policy, Workforce Development, Organisational Strategy and Corporate Governance. He has specific expertise in HR specialisms including: Organisation Development, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Sourcing and Recruitment, Reward Management, Industrial Relations, HRIS and Learning Technologies. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive of Skillnet Ireland, Paul had responsibility for OD and Talent Development for a large multinational. Paul holds a Degree in Business Studies and a MBA from Dublin City University. He is Adjunct Lecturer in Human Resources at National College of Ireland Post-Graduate Business School and is a respected voice in human resource development in Ireland.
Brendan is a leading national voice in human resources, employee relations and engagement, change management, dispute resolution and policy development. Having worked previously with the business organisation Ibec, as the executive director with leadership responsibility for IR/HR services, he founded Stratis Consulting and as part of his business portfolio he now provides consulting support on IR/HR strategy & solutions, policy and dispute resolution. He also engages with trade unions, government, state agencies, with other stakeholders and as a commentator.
In addition to serving as the Chairperson of Skillnet Ireland, Brendan is also a member of the boards of Resolve Ireland, the European Foundation for Living and Working Conditions, is Deputy Chairman of the Governing Body of the National College of Ireland (NCI) and previously served on the board of the Labour Relations Commission (now the WRC).
