GALWAY, Ireland, 5 June, 2014 — HP Ireland today announced it will grow jobs through an investment in OpenStack cloud services at its new state-of-the-art facility in Ballybrit, Galway, which is currently under construction and due to be completed next year.

This investment in Galway is part of the company’s plans to expand the global reach of the HP Helion portfolio of cloud products and services. The HP Cloud Research and Development (R&D) team in Galway played a large role in delivering HP’s public cloud—one of the largest OpenStack-based public clouds in the world. The team will continue in this role as it focuses on building the HP Helion portfolio of cloud products and services, also based on OpenStack technology—as well as Cloud Foundry™—and designed to enable organisations to build, manage and consume workloads in hybrid IT environments.
