Hi Grainne, here in Molex, the company will NOT be paying any premium applied for Lifetime Community Rating, the employee will pay the cost.

The decision was made that employees are responsible for the premium.
We requested that this payment was taken by DD from VHI separately however VHIs system will only allow one or the other either deduction from salary or Direct Debit. An option would be from next renewal, that companies go with payment subsidy only and VHI billed employees via Direct debit for collection of balance over subsidy including the Lifetime community rating amount (where applicable).

Hi Grainne – I’m happy to share our company’s decision on this.We too are not going to bear the cost of the levy – the employee will have to pay it.

Going forward, the employee will have to absorb the extra cost given that they will have no healthcare insurance when they join the organisation (or if they are current employees and decide to avail of the company funded healthcare insurance scheme) if they are over 35.
