40 new jobs created by business dedicated to enabling SMEs to take credit and debit card payments using mobile technology
DUBLIN - 14 September 2012 - Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD is pleased to announce that SumUp, a company dedicated to helping small businesses overcome issues with accepting credit and debit card payments, is to establish a customer, technical support and development centre in Dublin, creating 40 new, high quality jobs in the process. The investment is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.
SumUps goal is to establish itself as the leading mobile point-of-sale solution amongst SMEs in the European market. SumUp supplies merchants with a mobile app and card reader capable of turning any Apple iPhone, iPad, iPhone Touch or Android-based smart phone into a terminal capable of processing credit and debit card payments. Todays announcement follows on from SumUps launch of its mobile POS technology in Great Britain, Ireland, Germany and Austria in late August. Recruitment for the 40 new jobs is already underway.
