Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton TD  today announced that German company phenox GmbH is to establish a medical device manufacturing facility in Galway, creating up to 65 jobs over five years.

The development is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation through IDA Ireland.

phenox Ireland Ltd. will manufacture interventional neurovascular medical devices for the treatment of aneurysms and stroke. The company’s products are used by endovascular specialists for the interventional treatment of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and include mechanical thrombectomy devices, flow diverters and bifurcation aneurysm implants as well as access and support devices.
