The Innovation and Lean Sigma Skillnets aim is to;

  • Promote the fundamental ideas of innovation & lean/sigma strategy and support the implementation of a sustainable Lean/Sigma culture in member organisations to increase efficiencies and competitive advantage.
  • Promote collaboration among Innovation/Lean Sigma practitioners to encourage skill development and knowledge transfer through the organisation of  network forums,  conferences using world class presenters, development of an implementation framework and best practice site visits (come, see, hear & tell) at home and abroad.
  • Support the formation of innovation and lean fora in the regions and develop the skills with member organisations
  • Combine multiple delivery & learning transfer formats and extensive coaching and mentoring that facilitates developmental learning of all employees and maximizes the embedding of the core material in the day to day working of the participating organisation.
  • Develop and promote cost effective, certified and accredited training programmes that promote knowledge transfer through effective delivery mechanisms, match organisational needs and be experiential focused<
  • Support partnership approaches to innovation, and develop customised cross sectoral innovation programmes involving all stakeholders that are modular based to specifically address the challenges of member companies and improve both enterprise and national competitiveness.
  • Develop benefit statements for senior managers to demonstrate the value capable of being generated and the impact on organisational performance through the successful implementation of Lean/Innovation & other such training programmes.
  • Promote the establishment of an open collaborative culture and a change of mindset within organisations to ensure flexibility & openness to change
  • Promote internal capability and an understanding of the nature and mechanics of innovation in the context of lean organisations within the participating companies.
  • Develop, manage and implement Innovation & Lean Six Sigma initiatives focused on their value chain, including researching and designing new products and services.

The Innovation and Lean Sigma Federation (ILSF) is the contracting organisation for the Innovation & Lean Sigma Skillnet (ILSS) that helps facilitate the delivery of high quality innovation, Lean and Six Sigma programmes.  The aim of the Innovation & Lean Sigma Skillnet (ILSS) is to up-skill, re-skill and cross-skill workers to facilitate increased performance and growth of its members.

 

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel your booking for a training programme / event within 2 weeks of  the programme commencement, you will be charged in full for the programme, however a substitute delegate may attend on your behalf.

ILSS also wishes to make a significant contribution to up-skilling jobseekers, and to improve their adaptability and long-term employability.


ILSS is funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills.
