Ref: CFS 1425
Information Requested: An ICBE member company would like to know if other companies have carried out an improvement process on their internal reporting mechanisms. In this company, too many reports are going to too many people within the organisation and they would like to target the right level of reporting for Strategic, Tactical and Operational levels across the site.
Objective: The main objective is to benchmark internal report mechanisms and to “target the right audience with the right level of information at the appropriate time”

If the member sends on a list of specific questions they need answering I’ll organise a call with them.
Can you ask the following;
- Do they use SAP or equivalent?
- Are they looking at planning, production and CS or, is it higher level strategic planning.
- Do they have a current state map of the process?
- Do they have a proposed future state map?
In my experience you need to give the right information, which will allow for better decision making, to the right people. It’s also worth looking at the sources of data to see where the information is coming from, is it credible and can you replace several data sources with one or two which are more value add?
Hope this helps,
