Programme Overview

The underlying principle of this two day Management Excellence Program is that High Performance Managers create High Performance Teams and the aim of this program is to offer participants all the skills and techniques needed to become High Performance Managers. Mary T Tierney, MBA Professional Profile

Mary T possesses a unique blend of expertise - Her creative talent, experience and qualifications combined with an infectious, positive energy and enthusiasm ensures she brings success to all her group facilitation and coaching interventions.

She has a wealth of over 20 years progressive experience across many levels in the corporate world and has a strong knowledge of business practices.  She set up Azurite Consulting in 2006, giving her the opportunity to share her passion and unique style with everyone with whom she works.

Mary T has a particular strength is in unlocking potential and building high performance for an individual or a group; unlocking barriers to achievement and getting movement forward. She tackles issues with integrity, tenacity and empathy. She makes others feel good about themselves even in difficult or demanding circumstances bringing them onside to work together to make change happen.

Her core competency lies in the area of impactful communication, specifically interpersonal communication and presenting with impact, and 1-to-1 management and executive coaching and mentoring (having facilitated over 10,000 hours of coaching with clients to date).  Through her focused bespoke programmes she has worked with individuals, teams and managers to help them understand and appreciate the impact of their communication style, their attitudes and behaviours on themselves, their customers and the business. She offers them the skills and perspective to change what is not working for them, resulting in clarity in communication, ease in interaction and enhanced management skills.

She tutored for 3 consecutive years (2009-2011) on the MA in Professional Design Practice in Communication, Coaching & Teamwork at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) and supervised a number of students on their research dissertations.  She has also been part of Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) as an associate lecturer tutoring on an AIT accredited Higher Diploma in Leadership (2012-2013).
