Under the GDPR if the data controller uses a third-party supplier to process personal data on their behalf then there must be a contract in place providing sufficient guarantees to ensure that processing meets the requirements of the Regulation.  Tricia will be taking a deep dive into Data Processing Agreements under the GDPR and what organisations should be doing to ensure their Data Processing Agreements are GDPR compliant.

Marie will shed some light on the requirement in GDPR to carry out Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
What is a DPIA and how do you go about carrying out a DPIA?   What is the difference between a DPIA and an audit?   How do you identify when a DPIA is required under Article 35 and are there circumstances when you would elect to carry out a DPIA even if it is not strictly necessary?
