|Candidates pursuing the Lean Sigma Practitioner Programme will be capable of applying lean principles and tools to drive improvements and show measurable results. The programme will consist of assessment of theory by examination, as well as assessment of practice by portfolio. The portfolio is based on the achievement of certain project milestones by candidates, as defined by the programme requirements at each level.
CIT: Ten credits at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

– 3. Apply problem solving techniques
– 4. Understand how improvement is made through team effort
Candidates should have a total of 4 years of combined industrial experience, lean experience and academic study.. The course is aimed at all personnel working within the design, manufacturing, transactional, sales or support environment. It is suitable all employee levels.
Lean Six Sigma Concepts
Background to Lean Six Sigma and the required basic tools for Lean Sigma practitioners. DMAIC, Variation
Sources of waste within the production environment
Types of visual tools, benefits of such systems
Problem Solving Tools
Data collection tools and methodologies, data presentation, problem solving techniques
Identification of Continuous Improvement opportunity in the workplace
Online support and mentoring throughout the course.
Trainer Profile Qualification & Relevant Experience
|All core lecturers on the course are practitioners in Lean Sigma techniques and have each over 20 years experience in industry and are Black belt or Master Black belt equivalent.
The lead lecturers also hold Certificates in Training and Continuing Education from NUI Maynooth.
