Ireland is a recognised leading hub in the aircraft leasing sector. Most of the world’s aircraft leasing companies has a significant presence in Ireland. The aircraft leasing sector in Ireland has 3\,000 aircraft under management\, one third of the world’s total large transport aircraft fleet. This sector is experiencing strong growth at the present time. \nProgramme details\nThis module aims to give students an understanding of the purchasing and leasing of aircraft. The learner will be taken through the steps taken in purchasing aircraft and the contracts linked to purchase. The key components of a lease contract will be outlined and an explanation of the critical terms will be discussed. This module will be taught by Lectures\, guest lectures\, case studies\, problem solving exercises\, project work and self-directed learning. Online delivery will be supported by blackboard collaborate. \nWho is this programme for?\nPotential learners should have an interest in developing their skills in the aviation leasing sector. \nOnline Support\nStudents will have full access to a range of supports available online and through Blackboard\, our virtual learning environment. These include our new online programme\, PACE\, which is designed to support students to access and effectively use library resources in order to complete assignments. SUMMARY:Introducing the ESG e-Learning Platform

DESCRIPTION:Aircraft Lease Transition Financials (L7\, 10 ECTS)\nStart Date:  10th January \, 2024  | 10 weeks\nFunded Cost:  €1\,125\nOverview\n  \nThe  Certificate in Aircraft Lease Transition Financials aims to introduce the concept of an aircraft’s market value and factors which have an effect on it. Students will gain an awareness of the principles and practices of assets for sale/trade within the aviation leasing sector. \nCovering the reasons why leasing companies collect funds for future maintenance events and breaks down the variables impacting the overall costs associated with transitioning an aircraft from one operating lease to another. Introducing applied excel models for Technical Project management and culminating with the aircraft transition budget forecast. \n  \nWhat are the entry requirements?\nAn aircraft maintenance qualification\, aviation qualification at Level 6 or above or extensive experience in the aircraft maintenance industry. Excel is used in this module. \nRecognised Prior Learning (RPL): Prospective applicants who do not meet the academic entry requirements should submit their application online and then email Flexible.midwest@tus.ie to request assessment via RPL. \nENGLISH LANGUAGE: Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements. For entry to undergraduate courses\, a minimum score of 5.5 in an IELTS exam is required. For postgraduate courses\, a minimum of 6.0 is required.
