SUMMARY:Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) Tour
DESCRIPTION:Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) Tour\n Advanced Manufacturing Centre – Ireland (amcireland.com)\nMarch 8th (In person visit)\n  \n| AGENDA \n  \n\n10am – Arrival Tea/Coffee\n10:30am – Overview of AMC by Domhnall Carroll. He will speak about how AMC came about\, our mission\, and how we support manufacturing companies under key pillars.\n11:00am – Tour of AMC with presentation of AMC capabilities\n12:00pm – Regroup for Q&A and discussion.\n13:00 Lunch in AMC canteen\n\n  \nTour Note: \nRegarding the tours\, the groups will be brought to three areas (1) ‘Digital Transformation Space (DTS)\,  (2)  ‘Digital Manufacturing Suite (DMS)’ and (3) ‘Factory Floor’. \n  \n\nDigital Transformation Space (DTS)\n\nIn the DTS the group will be shown how AMC clients can use the facility with their own teams and with peers to explore the business benefits that leading companies have realised from implementing transformation programmes\, why they incorporated the changes they did\, and how these changes have benefitted them. A large screen is home to case studies from company senior leaders talking about the positive impact experienced by their organisations through the use\, and deployment of various different technologies. When clients identify a case study that is very similar to their own challenge and what they want to achieve\, they can take a deeper dive here in this space\, into the technology used\, what providers have to offer. \n  \n\nDigital Manufacturing Suite  (DMS)\n\nClients will have an appreciation for what they want to achieve from their time in the DTS; the ‘Digital Manufacturing Space’ (DMS) is all about how you can achieve what it is you want to do. This room has examples of digital product design\, digital production design\, integration of technology and software build and deployment. It is in this space that digital twins are created. \n  \n\nFactory Floor\n\nHere the group will see how companies can watch their work in the DMS translate to a production line\, through the exemplar line on the factory floor. The systems on the factory floor include MES\, an ERP warehouse system\, and injection moulding machine and autonomous vehicles. The group will experience how different technology can be integrated into different systems and how they ‘speak’ to each other. There are several dashboard screens the group will see\, and so will gain an understanding of how data can be derived from the factory floor and used to maximum effect. \n  \nWe expect that machinery will be operational on the day and so you will gain a good understanding of AMC and how it can best digitally support manufacturing companies in Ireland and abroad.
