SUMMARY:New Data Literacy & Analytics Training Programmes
DESCRIPTION:Increase your Organisation’s Data Literacy and Data Analytics Maturity Level\nICBE Business Excellence Skillnet is delighted to launch the first level of this exciting new programme on October 26th\, 2020. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop your analytics skills and drive the use of data in your business support function. \nData Literacy Level 1 – Business Support Functions(e.g. Finance\, HR\, Marketing\, Sales\, Supply Chain\, Procurement …) \nStart date: Monday\, October 26th \nDuration: 3 days effort over 3 weeks \nCost: €795 Member; €1\,100 Non Member (per person) Skillnet funding applied \nClick for more information \nICBE Advanced Productivity Skillnet | Data Literacy for Manufacturing/Operations/Engineering Functions\, Level 1 – Starts November\, 2020 \nIntroduction\nWith increasing digitisation within industry there is growing pressure on organisations to increase their overall data analytics maturity in order to become more data driven in how they make their business decisions. Most organisations capture and use data in order to obtain key information of significant value to their organisational growth. Feedback from ICBE members shows that organisations are struggling to manage their data lakes and to understand what data is relevant to help them make strategic decisions. They want to be able to communicate better with experts or data scientists to provide the insights as requests for custom insights become more common. The crucial capability in today’s Big Data world is being able to “translate” analytics- and data-driven insights into business implications and actions. Many organisations now believe all employees\, regardless of technical expertise need access to advanced analytics capabilities quickly and easily. They need to get insights in near real-time\, in context\, and that are relevant to the business process or problem at hand. \nAction\nAs a result of this feedback\, in March 2020 the ICBE Business Excellence Skillnet and the ICBE Advanced Productivity Skillnet commissioned Dave Clarke Analytics to design\, develop and deliver a series of Data Literacy Programmes at Fundamental\, Intermediate and Advanced Levels. The courses are designed for professionals in non-data functions to actively understand and interact with data. There is a strong emphasis throughout the courses on how to integrate data into day to day business decisions as well as long-term strategic planning. The key emphasis is on understanding\, interpreting and communicating the outputs to/from data analysts and scientists. It would also allow participants to articulate their specific data needs to the relevant data function. \nTailored for industry\, utilising real-life industry data sets\, the purpose of this Data Literacy training is to build a learning path for non-IT professionals in Data Analytics. \nThere are 2 Streams\, each with 3 levels of training : \n  \n \n  \nIf you would like to book a place on the ICBE Business Excellence Skillnet – Data Literacy for Business Support Functions\, Level 1 programme\, please contact alison@icbe.ie \nFor further information or discussion on the programmes\, please contact Gráinne Walsh\, Manager ICBE Business Excellence Skillnet – grainne@icbe.ie or Aidan Kelly\, Manager\, ICBE Advanced Productivity Skillnet – aidan@icbe.ie \nTraining Provider: \n Clarke Analytics is a wholly owned Irish consulting company specializing in the area of data analytics and data science consulting and training. The company was set up in October 2016 by Dave and Helen Clarke.  Dave has worked in the IT industry for 25 years in software consulting\, management consulting\, project\, program\, and engineering team management\, solutions architecture\, technology evangelist and data science roles. www.clarkeanalytics.com
