Being able to hear that experiences are similar in other organisations in Ireland is great. Workshop gave me additional insight into some things I was already aware of and working on\, but also pointed to some things I was not tuned in to previously. The experiences of the other attendees helped me identify some of these. • Well balanced workshop with slides and open discussion. Use of chat function was very good in supporting discussion as it allowed everyone to participate and no one voice took over. It was good to hear other people experiences.Regards\,

SUMMARY:Achieving Breakthrough Results... No Really! FranklinCovey 4 Disciplines of Execution (Webinar)
DESCRIPTION:Achieving Breakthrough Results … no really!\nStarts at 11am45-minutes followed by Q&AWednesday\, March 24th\nWe are excited to invite you to take part in this session\, which centres on driving exceptional business performance\, and let’s face it\, we could all do with a boost when it comes to seeking out better results. \nRay McGrath\, Head of the European FranklinCovey Strategy Execution Practice will take us through the critical elements to this highly relevant challenge for us all. \nRay will also provide context around the case for even considering a more structured and disciplined approach to Strategy Execution in the first place & will go beyond theory and with worked examples\, step us through the essence to Covey’s  ‘The Four Disciplines of Execution®’ . \nThis event draws from over 17 years’ of professional Strategy Execution delivery. \nFor leaders and managers seeking the achievement of breakthrough results\, particularly when you know that such achievements necessitate broad and deep changes in human behaviour\, this compact and practical session is an absolute must. \nSee you there \n  \nFacilitator: Ray McGrath \nRay McGrath is a seasoned executive with a proven track record for achieving exceptional results with people and organisations in the UK\, US\, Central Europe and in the Middle East. \nHe began his career in the Avionics Industry and spent 11 years excelling in the field of software and systems engineering with Smiths Aerospace (now GE Aviation). Having become one of the youngest business development executives in Smiths history and developing a real taste for leadership and people development in the process\, he left the Avionics Industry to take senior roles in the High Tech arena holding both European and International positions in Select Software Tools\, Princeton Softech\, Alternative Business Solutions and The MessageLabs Group. \nFrom 2007 through to early 2014 Ray held a position on the board of Directors for NextiraOne (latterly acquired by Dimension Data) a $1.1Bn Managed Services organisation\, and was responsible for Services/Operations as well as HR. This Board level accountability for both the customer and employee experience through this period proved to be critical grounding for Ray as a business execution specialist. \nIn parallel with the corporate journey Ray had also built his own management consultancy business and through this vehicle he engaged with UK and International organisations delivering coachingand development particularly in Execution\, Leadership and Communication skills. This has proved to be an invaluable platform for him to develop deep coaching skills and he has built a portfolio ofclients since 2004 where structured mentoring for leaders in both the private and public sector have delivered exceptional results. The FranklinCovey Execution journey began in 2006 for Ray where as an executive in the MessageLabs Group he participated in one of the first Strategy Execution programmes outside of the US; it is veryevident that his appetite for the application of the disciplines to real situations in both simple and complex businesses has never waned since those early days and Ray’s appointment in 2014 as UK StrategyExecution Practice Leader at FranklinCovey has proved to be highly impactful as he has architected and led a series of successful Execution programmes across a broad and deep range of clients sincethat point.

SUMMARY:Data Visualisation – 9 week Programme
DESCRIPTION:This Data Visualisation programme developed by ICBE Business Excellence Skillnet in conjunction with\nLimerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) at LIT is now a 10-credit module.\nThere is a growing need for organisations to present data in a visually coherent & sophisticated way in order to enhance effective decision making.\nThis exciting 9 week programme focuses on digital literacy and design and is targeted at anyone who communicates insights from data in their job.\n\nDates and Times: 9 x Thursdays – October to December 2021 (dates tbc)  from 10am – 1pm\n9 sessions: 4 teaching\, 4 tutorial sessions and 1 presentation – All sessions will be online\nCost: €690 member; €990 non-member (Skillnet funding applied)\nPlaces are limited\n\n\nThis training is for anyone who needs to present data insights as part of their role – engineers\, finance\, HR\, technicians etc…\nStudents will be asked to bring a data project to the course that is a typical part of their role so the project is personal to each student.\nIt is also a great opportunity to learn what other companies are doing in this area.\n\n\nWhile we’re aware that organisations use tools such as QlickView\, Tableau or Excel; this programme is not based on any system.\nThe purpose is to train participants who communicate insights from data\, regardless of what system they are pulling the data from\, to present that data clearly and effectively so that decisions can be made more easily. \n\n\nThere will be a specific time set aside to avail of tutorial advice\, which can be done or via phone\, Skype\, email\, etc. Tutorial times will be arranged in advance. \nFrom applicants\, we require current role title and a sentence or two on what they hope to gain from this course. \nWho is this course for?\nAnyone who communicates insights from data in their job\, either in dashboards\, reports or PowerPoint presentations.\nThis course is ideal for those involved in the interpretation of data as well as the presentation of data in a wide variety of organisations including engineering and manufacturing.\nThis course is a mix of talks and practical workshops on contemporary approaches to data visualisation.  Each teaching session will be three hours and there will be tutorials where advice is available to participants working on a self-initiated work based project.  Participants will learn to create their own data and understand key theories in the interpretation of data visualisation. \nTeaching sessions:  Thursdays X 4 from 10am – 1pm\nThe teaching sessions will be online webinars and include a combination of talks along with discussions and workshops – similar to last year. These will be recorded and available online for those who wish to view them later or can’t make the session. However\, we would encourage all participants to engage online with the Thursday morning sessions as there will be an opportunity to ask questions and for them to set aside that time in the week for the course.\nProject tutorial Sessions: Thursdays X 4 from 10am – 1pm\nThe project tutorial sessions are 15 mins in duration for each participant each week conducted via Zoom or MS Teams. As the overall time given is  three hours in duration\, a maximum of 12 can participate on the course at any one time.\nPresentation Session: Thursday X 1 from 10am – 1pm\nEach participant will be given 15 mins to present their project via Zoom or MS Teams.\n
