DESCRIPTION:ICBE/UL FUNDED EXECUTIVE APPRENTICESHIP\nLEAN SIGMA MANAGER Masters level\nSaturday lectures – 1 per month online (Spring & Autumn Semesters)\nUpskilling of existing staff\nJanuary 2027 Start\n  \n\n\n  \n  \nThe University of Limerick\, in partnership with the ICBE is running a funded Executive Apprenticeship at Masters level this January 2027 – the Lean Sigma Manager. At only €900pa over 2 years\, this is a saving of over €12\,200 on the cost of a traditional Masters programme. 2026 is the last year the fees will be this low. \n  \nThere is no block release and lectures take place online on Saturdays once per month during term time. This minimises staff time away from the workplace. Projects are industry focused and have saved millions for companies whose employees complete the masters. \n  \nAdditionally\, Apprenticeship employers may be eligible for a payment of up to €4\,000 for each new apprentice who registers with both UL and SOLAS under the Apprenticeship Employer Grant \nLean Management & Six Sigma should be part of the sustainability plan for every business.  There has never been a better time to upskill your staff. \n  \nClosing date for new companies wishing to register for Lean Sigma Manager Apprenticeship is July 31st 2026. DESCRIPTION:Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance – Law Society\n  \nStart Date: Thursday 28th January 2027 at 6:00 PM\nFunded cost: €2\,880  (full cost before funding €3\,600)\nContact maeve@icbe.ie for details of eligibility for funding.\n  \nProgramme objectives\nOn completion of this training programme\, participants will be able to: \n\nAnalyse the key legal issues pertaining to the sale and lease of aircraft;\nCritically evaluate the finance structures involved\, how to finance an aviation transaction\, and funding available;\nExplain the key regulatory issues pertaining to aviation;\nSummarise the legal issues relating to key aviation matters\, such as engines\, maintenance reserves\, security\, taxation\, insurance\, records\, and repossession;\nDraft and amend the key legal and financial documents and structures in aviation leasing and finance transactions;\nAdvise on a range of aviation issues that arise in practice – be it from a lender\, lessor\, lessee\, or airline.\n\nProgramme structure and approach to learning\nIreland is internationally recognised as the global hub for aviation leasing and finance\, with 14 of the top 15 global aircraft lessors enjoying a presence here. More than 60% of the world’s fleet of leased aircraft is owned\, leased\, or managed in Ireland. The major industry players have been attracted by Ireland’s stable political regime\, membership of the EU\, favourable time zone\, and talented workforce – not to mention our legal and regulatory advantages. In addition\, Ireland’s network of over 70 double tax treaties\, combined with the absence of withholding tax on aircraft lease rentals and a corporate tax rate of 12.5%\, makes Ireland a commercially attractive place to set up and run an aircraft leasing company. \nThis advanced-level diploma provides comprehensive coverage of the key aspects of the aviation leasing and finance industry.
