Programme overview

This hugely successful programme will form the bedrock for the Women in Aviation Leadership Programme. The programme will help participants develop accelerators like purpose, empowerment and their personal brand whilst learning to address inhibitors such as overwhelm, unconscious bias and power-play.
The programme will:
• Give participants feedback on their leadership style.
• Help participants develop or reinforce their vision and goals.
• Help participants navigate their way in complex executive roles.
• Empower participants to create real change in their career and industry.

Learning outcomes

Through this programme, participants will:

  • Greatly increase their leadership impact, create long-term personal and professional change, and become a role model.

  • Get the time and space to explore where they are in their work and career, articulate the leadership challenges facing them in today’s workplace and develop the insight and skills to address these.

  •  Develop increased resilience and strategies to maintain balance in a competitive organisation, while identifying personal career and leadership ambitions.

Who is the course for

The course is for aspiring and developing women leaders within the aviation leasing sector who are hoping to accelerate their career and personal development, including:

  • Women aspiring to and preparing for more senior management positions

  • Women exploring career options and ambitions


Module 1 (2 x days):

  •  Leading in an uncertain world: Understand what it takes to succeed in a fast-changing uncertain environment

  • Understanding the leadership challenge: Exploration of cutting edge trends in leadership and learn tried and tested techniques

  •  Driving personal and professional change: Understanding your leadership style and how to evolve and adapt personally and professionally to create sustainable positive change

Module 2 (2 x days):

  • Influence and impact: Understand the difference between goals, purpose and intention, and learn in real time how to inspire and influence others with your vision

  • Communication and persuasion: Master verbal and non-verbal techniques in communication and hone your unique voice. Learn how to effectively use networks, mentors and sponsors to drive your career success

  • Developing your personal leadership brand: Develop greater confidence and a better understanding of your personal leadership style enabling you to carry out and lead change effectively within your organisation

Trainer Profile

Nina Noonan is a highly experienced senior faculty member at IMI who contributes to and directs programmes for senior leaders across a wide range of industries and organisations.

Nina has been working with national and multinational organisations across the public and private sectors in Ireland and Europe for the past 18 years. She has worked both internally and in a consulting role; assisting in the development of management and leadership capabilities to deliver strategic organisational results.

She is currently a group facilitator and teaches on IMI’s Diploma in Leadership and IMI’s Senior Executive Programme. Nina is also Programme Director for four senior leadership programmes for IMI custom clients.
