The Aviation Skillnet is delighted to support the Lir Academy Corporate Workshops and 25% funding is available for eligible companies.

The Lir at Work is a corporate communications training initiative by The Lir National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin offering a range of public speaking courses, presentation skills training and personal impact communications workshops aimed at empowering people in the workplace by helping them communicate with greater confidence, clarity and conviction.

Established in 2016, in partnership with RADA Business, they employ the same techniques that The Lir Academy uses to train professional actors, which focuses on using the body, breath and voice to maximum effect.

Their trainers are theatre professionals and experts in voice, movement and performance who will help you connect with your inner performer – empowering you to deliver presentations, manage teams and communicate effectively with key stakeholders and clients with greater impact and influence than ever before

Public Speaking : Fighting the Fear

• Dates: 10th and 11th March

A practical presentation skills workshop designed to ease the fear of public speaking by focusing on developing a toolkit of performance techniques used by professional actors which allows you to break through inhibiting fear-factor barriers – and empowers you to deliver presentations, lead meetings and manage teams with a greater sense of authority, passion, authenticity and confidence.

Story Telling for Business

Leading with Impact

A practical communications workshop designed for business leaders and senior management who want to advance their leadership style by gaining a greater understanding of how to adapt communication techniques to strengthen and support their leadership approach.

Through this workshop, you will have the opportunity to broaden your repertoire by identifying your leading leadership style and exploring the archetypes you might be missing, or want to strengthen, so that you can meet the needs of a wider audience.

Focusing on both verbal and non-verbal communication, you will understand how your voice works and how to build vocal power, ease and colour - allowing you to find balance in a voice capable of being both authoritative and empathetic.

By the end of the workshop you will have had the opportunity to explore your full potential through the lens of 8 archetypes within 4 classic leadership styles - allowing you to adapt your approach to communicating as a leader, so as to engage with, influence and inspire your team with greater impact than ever before
