Part 21 Initial Airworthiness - 2 Day (In Person) Course

Times:  9am to 5pm each day

Funded Cost: €760 per person with Skillnet funding (€950 without funding)

Overview

Delivered by Mick Malone,  AirEngineering and Consulting this 2 day in person course is geared at those who need a good basic understanding of Part 21 with particular emphasis on how it affects Modification and changes to large aircraft.

Target audience includes those involved in Design, Production, leasing companies, CAMO  or sales people who need an understanding of the topic.

 

Day 1

  • Intro to legislation with emphasis on Subparts A, Subpart B in so far as we know about a type cert (type design, type certificate)
  • Subpart D - basic subpart E, Subparts F and G, Basic H and I,  Subpart J, Subpart K, Subpart M, subpart O (Basic) subpart P (basic) subpart Q.
  • Certification procedure for a product
  • Type cert in more detail
  • Changes to a type cert with emphasis on certification basis 21.A.101

Day 2

  • CS25 with emphasis will be on general and cabin safety, with level of detail adapted to suit the requirements of the participants. (Attendees are encouraged to bring their own experience to use as working examples)
  • Development of a simple minor mod, classification, showing of compliance, ICA.
  • Documents which the customer gets and which remain proprietary.

 

Training Provider - Mick Malone, AirEngineering and Consulting.

 

AirEngineering and Consulting is headed by Mick Malone, an industry veteran with more than 40 years experience. Previous to running AirEngineering he has been Head of Design in several EASA approved Design Organisations world wide. He is currently Head of Design at Part 21 Design International Malta. Mick has numerous years teaching experience and has run P21 courses world wide focusing on the basic requirements on P21 to detailed requirements specific to 21J and 21G. He is a part time lecturer with TUS.
