Jobs on way to New Ross as Integer confirms substantial expansion on the way

ICBE member company - INTEGER plan to begin work on an 80,000sq ft extension to their New Ross plant in September, with a view to hiring staff ahead of its opening, scheduled for the following September.

“Integer will be increasing capacity at our New Ross facility by 80,000 sq ft and investing significantly in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Construction will begin in September of this year with the majority of project completed by September 2023.”

Ms Oakes would not be drawn on the percentage growth in production at the plant – which employs around 950 people.

She said: “While we can’t provide a percentage, this expansion is intended to address increasing demand for the guidewires produced at this site, as well as allow for additional opportunities to support our customers’ growth.”

She also could not confirm the number of new staff who will be employed at the plant, saying: “While we do not know specifically how many new associates will be needed, we will continue to grow our New Ross team as customer demand requires.”

On July 14 Integer trading as Lake Region Medical Limited submitted a planning application to New Ross Municipal District council for a two-storey extension at its Butlersland facility, where almost 1,000 people are employed.

The company proposes to build a two-storey (335 sqm) extension to the rear of the existing building. inclusive of two new doors.
