Managing conflict, handling difficult conversations and giving constructive feedback are all part of a People Manager’s set of responsibilities. Disagreements happen and tensions arise, which can be challenging and quite complex to navigate.
During this programme we will:
- deconstruct conflict to understand what is at the root of all conflictual interactions
- then discover how to bring contentious exchanges to a more positive outcome
- explore the psychology of feedback & learn how to deliver feedback in a way that another person is open to hearing
- learn some structures to support assertiveness in conversations when needed
- spend time understanding the impact of unresolved and ongoing conflict and explore strategies to help manage our thoughts and emotions during and after challenging conversations.
This programme is suitable for Managers and Leaders with people Management responsibilities. It is also useful for Human Resources personnel who support Managers and Employees when conflict arises in the workplace.
