The net result will be highly engaged and motivated staff, Lean & Effective processes and sustainable optimisation.

The program will address the following Lean Thinking fundamentals:

  • Lean awareness and creating a Lean Mind-set.
  • Understanding the benefits of Lean for the aviation sector.

Who is this Suitable for and what are the Learning Outcomes?

This short but highly focused program is for Aviation leaders and managers and subject matter experts in airlines, aircraft leasing companies, MRO’s and aviation service suppliers who want their organisation to become Lean & Effective.  At the end of this program, participants will clearly understand the benefits of 'Lean Thinking for Aviation', will know where to start on their continuous improvement journey and how to avoid the pitfalls of a Lean roll out.

Additionally, participants will be given a simple framework to follow for delivering a Lean Transformation along with a demonstration of a few powerful but simple-to-use Lean Tools.

Delivery

Delivery will be via three live ninety-minute virtual tutorials from April,  2022.

Accreditation (optional):

On completion of a written assignment, post the tutorials, successful candidates may be awarded a certificate from the University of Limerick with 6 ECTS Credits at Level 9 on the NFQ.  A non-accredited option is available where students attend the 3 tutorials only and are not required to submit an assessment.
